Carrefour Sells Stake in CarrefourSA to Aydın
Carrefour has signed an agreement to sell its minority stake in CarrefourSA, Turkey, to Aydın, the owner of the A101 banner. The deal involves the sale of an 89% stake, jointly held by Carrefour and Sabancı. For Carrefour, this transaction is part of a strategic review started in early 2025, aiming to actively manage its asset portfolio. This sale is expected to have no significant financial impact on Carrefour.
CarrefourSA operates 1,237 stores in Turkey and generated USD 1.9 billion in revenue in 2025. Post-transaction, the CarrefourSA brand will continue for at least two years under a brand license agreement. The completion of this deal is pending approval from competition authorities and other customary conditions.
