CATL Unveils Six Major Innovations in Energy Mobility

On April 21, 2026, at Super Technology Day in Beijing, CATL introduced six significant innovations in battery technology aimed at enhancing new energy mobility. The unveiling included the third-generation Shenxing Superfast Charging Battery, Qilin Battery, Qilin Condensed Battery, Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery, Naxtra Sodium-ion Battery, and an integrated supercharging and battery-swapping solution.

Among the highlights, the Shenxing battery demonstrates a rapid six-minute charge to 98% capacity, while maintaining 90% capacity after 1,000 cycles. The Qilin Battery, designed for premium EVs, promises a 1,000 km range with a notable decrease in weight and CO₂ emissions. Furthermore, the Freevoy Battery extends hybrid travel efficiency by achieving 600 km of pure electric range.

The Naxtra Sodium-ion Battery marks a move towards GWh-scale industrialization, and CATL's charge-swap network aims to build 4,000 stations by 2026. CATL continues its investment in holistic energy solutions, emphasizing global development and collaborative efforts.
