CDA and GreenYellow Partner to Install Solar Carports
Compagnie des Alpes (CDA), a leader in the leisure industry, and GreenYellow, specializing in decentralized energy, have announced a joint project at Parc Astérix, Futuroscope, and Walibi Rhône-Alpes. This initiative includes 18.6 MWp of photovoltaic carports, 440 electric vehicle charging points, and 2 MWh of energy storage, aiming to cover 25% of the parks' self-consumed electricity needs.
At Parc Astérix, four parking lots will host solar carports generating 7.1 GWh annually. The project begins in early 2026 and encompasses 120 initial charging points for electric vehicles. Meanwhile, Futuroscope and Walibi Rhône-Alpes parks started construction in January 2025, offering 5.4 MWp and 5.6 MWp solar carports, respectively, with a focus on sustainable energy consumption.
The partnership exemplifies CDA’s commitment to renewable energy, supported by GreenYellow’s integrated solutions, and highlights a strategic move towards enhancing electric mobility and reducing emissions.
