Cell Impact to Test Nanocrystalline Titanium for Customers

On November 2, 2026, Cell Impact AB, based in Karlskoga, Sweden, announced its plans to conduct forming tests on nanocrystalline titanium produced in Japan. The tests are requested by several undisclosed customers. This material has already been applied in series-production contexts.

The objective is to assess the formability of this titanium using Cell Impact's proprietary technology, Cell Impact Forming™. This high-velocity forming method is known for its scalability and cost efficiency. The transaction, including the purchase of a trial coil of the material, is managed by Toyota Tsusho Corporation.

After completing the tests, Cell Impact and Toyota Tsusho will continue to share test results and consider further steps. CEO Daniel Vallin highlighted the project's significance in evaluating the technology's industrial potential for titanium applications.
