CEWE Sells Commercial Online-Print Segment to Cimpress
CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA announced the sale of its Commercial Online-Print business to Cimpress, a leader in web-to-print. This divestment aligns CEWE's strategy towards enhancing its core Photofinishing segment.
All 544 employees from the commercial printing units, including SAXOPRINT, will move to Cimpress. This shift aims at sharpening CEWE's focus on Photofinishing, where its profitability records stronger metrics. The EBIT margin is expected to rise to 11.2% from 10.2% for 2025 metrics without the printing segment.
The transaction allows CEWE to allocate resources for strategic acquisitions and brand development in Photofinishing, enhancing growth prospects. The deal, set to elevate CEWE's profit margins, awaits regulatory approval and is anticipated to complete in the second half of 2026.
