Belgrano Group Reaches Milestone with Share Buyback Offer
Paris-based Compagnie Chargeurs Invest, now known as Belgrano, announced a significant milestone in its public share buyback offer (OPRA). This change follows the approval from an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). The rebranding honors the group's heritage by adopting the name of their first vessel, Belgrano, and will include a new ticker symbol, "BGO."
The EGM also approved a capital reduction necessary for the €14 per share buyback. A maximum of 2,589,285 shares can be repurchased for a total of €36,249,990. This marks a strategic step towards finalizing the transaction by the first quarter of 2027.
Michaël Fribourg, CEO, noted the transformation aligns with expanding into new luxury markets and maintaining global leadership. The capital reduction signifies progress in the buyback, offering attractive liquidity while aiming for long-term value creation.
