Charwood Energy Expands Biomass Projects with Engie Solutions Partnership
Charwood Energy has announced a significant development in its modular wood-fired boiler offerings through a partnership with Engie Solutions and SDE 18. This collaboration involves the construction of a 250 kW biomass boiler in Châteaumeillant, aimed at providing heating and hot water to public structures, including a nursing home and a fire station. The project supports regional decarbonization efforts by utilizing local wood energy and aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by 137 tons annually.
This initiative is part of a broader agreement with Engie Solutions to standardize biomass boiler systems, assisting in the transition to renewable energy in regional sites. SDE 18, involved in promoting sustainable energy, supports local developments through heating networks, with the Châteaumeillant project being one of the first implemented under their master plan.
Charwood Energy, through its subsidiary Energy&+, focuses on delivering turnkey solutions with optimized design and prefabrication techniques, ensuring minimal environmental impact and efficient deployment. The company aims for industrial growth, aligning with national decarbonization strategies.
