Charwood Energy is collaborating with ENGIE to decarbonize the Stellantis La Janais site

Charwood Energy has announced a project with ENGIE Solutions to decarbonize the Stellantis La Janais plant. Its subsidiary, Energy&+, is responsible for installing a hot water loop. This heating network has been supplying 11 substations via an 8 MW biomass boiler since the end of 2024, producing 25,000 MWh of renewable heat and reducing CO₂ emissions by 6,650 tonnes per year. The planned addition of 6 MW by 2026 will extend the network to 60 additional substations.

Subsidized by ADEME, the project aims to reduce the plant's natural gas consumption by 30%, contributing to Stellantis Rennes' carbon neutrality by 2028. Energy&+'s work includes industrial piping and network commissioning. This contract reflects Charwood Energy's commitment to the energy transition.
