U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright will participate in the Powering Africa Summit 2026 in Washington, D.C., on March 19 and 20. The event will focus on the U.S.-Africa energy partnership, energy access, and clean cooking. The summit's central theme, "Energizing the US-Africa Partnership," will highlight progress since the 2025 Strategic Agenda. Discussions will address cooperation in infrastructure, critical minerals, and energy security. Several high-ranking African officials will participate, including representatives from Liberia, Ethiopia, and Ghana.
