Cognizant Launches OpenAI Initiative with 25,000 Professionals

Cognizant Technology Solutions has announced the creation of its OpenAI Frontier Capability Group. This new initiative unites over 25,000 professionals to deliver OpenAI products like Codex and ChatGPT to client enterprises. The group aims to embed OpenAI models into software development, customer service, and daily operations.

The initiative stems from the need for skilled professionals capable of integrating advanced AI models into core business systems. To support this, over 21,000 Cognizant associates have completed training on OpenAI technologies, earning more than 40,000 badges.

The group initially focuses on AI-native software engineering, application modernization, and agentic customer operations. By leveraging its own solutions built on OpenAI, Cognizant intends to drive meaningful AI business impacts for clients.
