Comet Holding AG Sees Significant Growth in Q4 Due to Semiconductor Cycle Recovery
Comet Holding AG reported a strong fourth quarter for 2024, driven by a turnaround in the semiconductor cycle. The company revealed preliminary, unaudited figures showcasing net sales of approximately CHF 445 million, marking a 12.1% increase from FY23's CHF 397.5 million. The EBITDA margin also improved to 13.8%, up from 11.3% last year.
The fourth quarter alone saw revenues of CHF 143 million, a notable increase of 27% year-on-year and 26% from the previous quarter. The recovery was primarily attributed to segments like AI and high-performance computing, while consumer markets such as smartphones and PCs remained weak.
However, higher investments and an unfavorable product mix led to an EBITDA margin slightly below expectations. Looking ahead, Comet anticipates a continued recovery in the semiconductor market positively impacting the upcoming financial year, with detailed results expected on March 6, 2025.
