Timber Construction Companies: Decline in 2026 Half-Year Results

Les Constructeurs du Bois (LCB) recorded a 38.9% drop in revenue in the first half of 2026, to €5.63 million, due to construction delays. These postponements primarily affect major projects such as the Thaon and Les Forges developments, the Eco'City in Houdemont, and the Cambium Campus in Anould, totaling over €20 million. Net income fell to €0.07 million, compared to €0.32 million last year, despite a 4-point increase in gross margin.

LCB's profitability reached 33%, thanks to efficient supply chain management and the integration of the engineering department within the group. However, EBITDA decreased to €0.61 million, reflecting a decline in activity and an increase in personnel expenses. The financial structure remained stable with gross financial debt of €15.22 million.

LCB anticipates a rebound in the second half of the year thanks to the signing of new projects, estimated at 30 million euros, and remains confident in its strategic choices for the future.
