Continental Achieves Milestones Amid Realignment Challenges

Stock price chart of Continental AG (EBR:CON) showing fluctuations.

In the third quarter of 2025, Continental reached significant milestones in its strategic realignment despite challenging market conditions. The company completed the spin-off of Aumovio and agreed to sell its Original Equipment Solutions business. These moves resulted in a non-cash impact of €1.1 billion on earnings, leading to a net income loss of €756 million compared to a profit in the previous year.

Continental reported consolidated sales of €5.0 billion, unchanged from Q3 2024, with an organic growth of 2.6%. Adjusted EBIT dropped 14.9% to €565 million. Despite these hurdles, the Tires sector performed well, with strong replacement-tire sales, especially in North America and Asia.

ContiTech is also showing year-on-year improvements thanks to cost-cutting measures. Looking ahead, Continental aims to refine its focus on the tire business and ContiTech as it continues its realignment efforts.
