Continental Adjusts 2026 Outlook After Strong Q3 Results

Stock price chart of Continental AG (EBR:CON) showing fluctuations.

Continental AG has revised its 2026 outlook due to robust performance in its tire division during the third quarter. The company reported consolidated sales of €3.5 billion, a slight decrease from the previous year. However, adjusted EBIT climbed to €514 million, enhancing the margin from 13.9% to 14.9%. Net income surged to €349 million, a notable recovery from last year's loss.

The positive results were largely driven by strong earnings in Europe and Asia in performance tire sales. CEO Christian Kötz noted that the company is in a strong position despite rising raw material costs, which are expected to affect future earnings. CFO Roland Welzbacher emphasized the significance of high-performance tires in driving business success. Continental plans to expand its ultra-high-performance tire offerings to sustain growth.
