CoTec Holdings Submits a Technical Report for the Lake Jeannine Project
Vancouver-based CoTec Holdings Corp. recently filed a technical report regarding the tailings restoration and reclamation project at the Lac Jeannine mine in Quebec. This document, compliant with Regulation 43-101, does not make any significant changes to the results previously announced in May 2026.
The Lac Jeannine site, once mined for its iron ore, is now the focus of a project to recover residual iron from mine tailings and restore the site to its natural state. In operation from 1961 to 1976, the mine now houses a large tailings storage facility.
Considered by the MRNF as the largest abandoned mining site under government responsibility, the CoTec project focuses on the reprocessing of iron tailings, incorporating a strategic approach for critical minerals.
