CoTec Releases Update on Lac Jeannine Mine Project

CoTec Holdings Corp. has provided a project update for its Lac Jeannine Mine Tailings Reclamation and Restoration Project in Québec, Canada. The feasibility study for the project is anticipated to be completed by Q2 2027, with potential to deliver 67% total Fe iron concentrate classified as a critical mineral under local initiatives. The current project valuation is an after-tax NPV of US$91.9M and an IRR of 29.6%, spanning a 15-year mine life.

Key developments include a gap analysis conducted by BBA, commencement of baseline environmental studies, and engagement with local stakeholders, including First Nations communities. Additionally, metallurgical tests have supported the production of a high-grade concentrate from the tailings. The site layout and tailings disposal strategy have also been completed, aiming for minimal environmental impact.
