German Ministry Opens HyProMag's Second Plant in Pforzheim

HyProMag GmbH inaugurated its second commercial rare earth magnet manufacturing facility in Pforzheim, Germany. The plant was officially opened by Stefan Rouenhoff from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. This facility uses proprietary technology for recycling rare earth magnets, a crucial resource for various industries.

HyProMag's expansion underscores its commitment to strengthening domestic supply chains and supports scalable manufacturing efforts in the U.S. CoTec Holdings Corp. has vested interests in HyProMag USA and Germany, reflecting its strategic focus on rare earth magnet recycling and manufacturing. The Pforzheim facility, once fully operational, could produce up to 350 metric tons annually, with plans to expand further.

The opening of this facility not only advances HyProMag’s capabilities but also aligns with its goal of securing sustainable supply options for critical materials. The joint ventures are catalyzing efforts to meet the need for domestic recycling solutions in large tech environments.
