Crédit Agricole Completes Employee-Centric Capital Increase
On August 28, 2025, Crédit Agricole S.A. finalized its capital increase, targeting the 190,000 employees and retired staff within its Group. The subscription period, open from June 24 to July 8, 2025, saw participation from 37,533 individuals globally, totaling €294.5 million. This scheme offered a 20% discount on share prices, based on an averaged opening price from late May to mid-June 2025. Today, these newly issued shares were delivered, adding 22,886,191 shares to the company's total, reaching 3,048,788,541 shares.
A follow-up share buyback operation is planned to mitigate the dilutive impact, pending ECB approval. This capital increase aligns with the Group's strategy for employee profit-sharing, involving employees with a minimum of three months’ service in France and 22 other countries, alongside retired former workers.
