Crédit Agricole's 2026 Employee Capital Increase
Crédit Agricole S.A. has successfully completed a capital increase reserved for over 190,000 employees and retired former employees of the group. The subscription period, running from 24 June to 8 July 2026, saw participation from more than 53,000 employees across France and internationally. Due to high demand, with subscription requests exceeding the 32 million shares allocated by the Board of Directors, larger orders were capped.
The scheme offered a 20% discount on the share price, based on the average opening prices from 26 May to 22 June 2026. The issuance and delivery of these new shares are slated for 27 August. Following the capital increase, a share buyback operation is planned to offset any dilutive effects, pending approval from the ECB. This initiative is part of the group’s profit-sharing strategy for employees.
