Crédit Agricole Assurances Prices €750 Million in Tier 2 Notes
Crédit Agricole Assurances has announced the successful pricing of €750 million in Tier 2 subordinated notes. These notes hold a fixed annual interest rate of 5.125% and are due in December 2038. This issuance is part of the company's capital management strategy, with proceeds earmarked for general corporate purposes including the potential refinancing of existing debt.
The notes qualify as Tier 2 capital under Solvency II regulations and are integrated into Crédit Agricole Assurances’ Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme. Rated BBB+ by S&P Global Ratings, the notes are planned for listing on Euronext Paris.
Settlement is scheduled for 29 September 2026. Crédit Agricole Assurances has maintained an "A/stable outlook" rating by S&P Global Ratings. The issuance is not available for distribution in the U.S., Australia, or Japan.
