Martin Briens appointed to the EDF Board of Directors

EDF's Board of Directors co-opted Martin Briens as a director at its meeting on February 19, 2026. Briens, Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, succeeds Anne-Marie Descôtes until the 2026 Annual General Meeting. This appointment, proposed by the French government, is in accordance with Ordinance No. 2014-948. Ratification will take place at the next Annual General Meeting.

EDF's Board of Directors comprises 41.7% independent directors and 41.7% women. Director biographies are available online. This appointment strengthens EDF's governance as it pursues its energy transition commitments.
