CtrlS Secures ₹7,000 Crore Investment for Indian Data Infrastructure
CtrlS Datacenters Ltd. has announced a partnership with CPP Investments, securing a ₹7,000 crore (C$1 billion) investment to enhance India's digital infrastructure. This strategic move involves CPP Investments acquiring an 8.2% stake in CtrlS with an investment of ₹4,000 crore (C$588 million). Furthermore, the two entities will initiate a joint venture to establish hyperscale datacenter campuses, with CPP holding a 48% equity and CtrlS 52%.
The collaboration aims to address growing demand from hyperscalers and cloud services, driven by India's expanding digital economy. CtrlS's commitment to reliability and sustainability is echoed by Sridhar Pinnapureddy, its CEO, emphasizing the importance of AI-ready infrastructure.
Max Biagosch of CPP Investments highlighted India's rapid growth in digital markets, reinforcing the importance of this partnership for global and local strategies. This investment signifies CPP’s long-standing commitment to India's market, with over INR 1,850 billion (C$27 billion) in assets.
