The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has achieved notable success in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026. Ten subjects have taken the top spot in Hong Kong, with 21 ranking among the global top 50. This success highlights CUHK's dedication to impactful research and academic excellence.
Rising to the 32nd position globally, CUHK's ascent emphasizes its role as a center for research and knowledge exchange. Seventeen researchers are recognized on the Highly Cited Researchers 2025 list by Clarivate Analytics. Additionally, 431 academics are ranked among the top 2% scientists globally by Stanford University, reflecting the university's research prowess.
The Nethersole School of Nursing and the Department of Geography and Resource Management stand out. The former ranks #1 in Hong Kong and Asia, and #6 worldwide, while the latter is #4 in Asia and #21 worldwide.
