Damartex's Q1 2026/2027 revenue is down
In the first quarter of fiscal year 2026/2027, the Damartex Group recorded sales of €98.6 million, a decrease of 8.0% at actual exchange rates compared to the previous year. This decline is attributable to a challenging economic environment, notably due to high summer temperatures and low consumer confidence in Europe, influenced by rising inflation and geopolitical concerns.
The fashion sector saw its revenue decline by 7.7%, particularly impacted in France. Damart experienced an 8.4% drop in sales, mainly due to the postponement of purchases of the autumn/winter collection. The home and lifestyle division suffered an 11.1% decrease, with Coopers of Stortford and 3Pagen posting significant declines.
As for the Healthcare segment, it recorded a slight decrease of 3.2% due to the heatwave, which led to a decline in treatment adherence. The group is maintaining a cautious approach to protect its profitability.
