DATA MODUL Reports Decline in Q1 2024 Sales and Earnings
DATA MODUL AG, a producer and distributor of electronic systems, announced a downturn in its financial performance for the first quarter of 2024, citing ongoing market challenges as the primary cause. The preliminary results show a drop in both earnings and sales, compared to the first quarter of the previous year.
The company recorded a decrease in earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), which stood at EUR 4.1 million in Q1 2024, down approximately 15% from EUR 4.8 million in the first quarter of 2023. Sales decreased by roughly 12% to EUR 63.5 million from EUR 72.4 million in the corresponding period last year. Additionally, the booking value diminished by about 41%, to EUR 50.3 million from EUR 84.7 million from the same period last year.
DATA MODUL plans to release its final results for the first quarter on May 8, 2024.
