US Court Reserves Decision on Colosseum Injunction Stay
Dateline Resources Limited announced that the US District Court for the Central District of California has reserved its decision on a stay of the preliminary injunction relating to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Colosseum Rare Metals, Inc. A hearing was held to discuss the jurisdiction of the court to alter the injunction during the appeal process. The court's tentative ruling raised jurisdictional questions but was not adopted.
Both CRM and the US Federal Defendants have appealed against the injunction and sought a stay. If the District Court declines these applications, the involved parties may seek a stay from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Meanwhile, operations at the Colosseum site remain suspended under the injunction.
The approved 1985 Plan of Operations for the site is cited by the Company as a valid existing right, acknowledged by the National Park Service in 1995 and 2025. Stakeholders await the court's decision for further market updates.
