De'Longhi Study Unveils Europe's Coffee Preferences
A recent De'Longhi study has mapped the coffee habits of 35 European cities, revealing distinct "signature orders." The study surveyed 3,001 coffee drinkers across the UK, France, and Germany, highlighting how coffee preferences are intertwined with local culture and identity.
In Glasgow, caffè latte is the top choice for 33.3%, while Stuttgart is Germany's cappuccino hub at 30.6%. Cardiff stands out, with coffee described as a lifestyle by 25% of respondents. The UK's favored brew is caffè latte at 19.7%, whereas Germany prefers cappuccinos at 23.1%. In France, espresso is predominant, chosen by 31.9%.
The research shows that coffee serves different roles: a daily ritual in Germany, a social activity in the UK, and a contributor to city ambiance in France. De'Longhi offers insights and at-home brewing solutions to recreate these experiences.
