Destinus Advances in EDA's Sentinel Strike Challenge
Destinus, a European firm specializing in strike missile systems, has been recognized as one of the top five applicants in the European Defence Agency's "Sentinel Strike Challenge." This acknowledgment follows the Stage 1 evaluation of loitering munition systems. The company now progresses to Stage 2, which involves an operational experimentation campaign in Portugal this fall.
The Sentinel Strike Challenge aims to assess the performance and reliability of loitering munitions through rigorous testing. The upcoming trials will occur at the Santa Margarida Military Training Area, from September 28 to October 9, 2026.
Destinus will present a complete system developed in Europe, showcasing operations under realistic and challenging conditions. The results of Stage 2 are anticipated to be revealed at the EDA Annual Conference in early 2027.
