DKSH Secures Sustainability-Linked Loan with OCBC
DKSH has announced the closure of a CHF 100 million sustainability-linked loan with OCBC. This marks the company's first linkage of its financing terms to emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The five-year loan reflects DKSH’s commitment to aligning with science-based net-zero decarbonization pathways.
The loan includes specific annual sustainability performance targets that support DKSH's goals to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 71.2% by 2030 from a 2020 baseline, and Scope 3 emissions by 61.1% per CHF of value added by 2033. The transaction builds on DKSH’s climate strategy, having already reduced GHG emissions by 65% from 2020 levels and shifting to 80% renewable electricity.
Both Elaine Lam of OCBC and Ido Wallach of DKSH underscore the importance of integrating sustainability into business practices to foster long-term growth and value creation.
