Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA Reports Strong Order Intake in H1 2025

Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA has reported a significant increase in order intake for the first half of 2025, the highest in five years. The company recorded orders of EUR 1,738 million, surpassing the previous year's EUR 1,604.3 million by EUR 134 million. Net sales rose slightly by 0.4% to EUR 1,510 million, though the operating result or EBIT was EUR 20.4 million, lower than the previous year's EUR 55.8 million.

Strong demand was seen across both the medical and safety divisions, notably in the Americas, which grew by 25%. The medical sector saw a 14.8% rise in orders, driven by high demand for ventilators and anesthesia machines. Similarly, the safety division's order intake grew by 4.2%. Net sales did not match the order growth but are expected to accelerate in H2 2025. The company's annual forecast expects sales to grow by 1.0 to 5.0%.
