Drill Results Advance Aeonian's Exploration Model at Koocanusa
Aeonian Resources Corp. has concluded its initial diamond drilling program at the Jake Target within its Koocanusa Copper Project in British Columbia. Although no significant copper-silver intercepts were found, the drilling, which included 1,229 meters over five holes, refined subsurface geological understanding. The exploration program proved vital in confirming the continuation of Revett-equivalent host rocks, indicating potential for copper mineralization.
Despite the absence of high-grade copper, anomalous metal values were widespread, suggesting hydrothermal fluid pathways played a significant role. This information is crucial for Aeonian’s district-scale exploration strategy on its 360 km² property, aiding future target prioritization. CEO Andy Randell highlighted that the findings enhance their geological model, transitioning Jake from an exploration target to a reference point for evaluating new opportunities.
