Eagle Plains Expands George Lake Mineralization
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. has received promising assay results from its inaugural drilling program at the George Lake Project. The company reported successfully intersecting sphalerite and galena in new drill holes, extending the known mineralization of the George Lake Zn/Pb deposit. Three holes totaling 1,591 meters were drilled, with significant findings at depths deeper than historical intercepts.
Notably, hole GL26002 returned 45.1 meters at 3.48% Zn+Pb. The 2026 drill program extended mineralization up to 180 meters down-dip from previous findings and remains open both along strike and to depth. The program's success is attributed to advanced geophysical and technical interpretations guiding drill targeting.
The George Lake Project, benefiting from local technical support and eligible for the Saskatchewan Targeted Mineral Exploration Incentive, shows potential for discovering additional mineralization. Exploration efforts align with Eagle Plains' objective to expand the footprint of this project through continued drilling.
