Drilling Initiated at Eagle Plains' George Lake Project

On February 2, 2026, Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. announced the start of a diamond drilling program at their fully owned George Lake Project in Saskatchewan. The initiative involves a 1,650-meter, three-hole drilling project aimed at exploring the sedex stratigraphy hosting the George Lake deposit. This marks the first drilling activity at the site in two decades.

The George Lake deposit shows significant mineralization over 8.1 kilometers. However, the source remains unidentified. TerraLogic Exploration Inc. will supervise the drilling, with New Age Drilling Solutions performing the operations. The project forms part of an agreement with the Ya'thi Néné Lands and Resource Office, involving multiple First Nations and northern communities.

Supported by Saskatchewan's Targeted Mineral Exploration Incentive, the project seeks to extend known mineralizations. Leveraging modern geophysical analysis and advanced modeling, Eagle Plains aims to uncover additional resources. Chuck Downie, Eagle Plains' CEO, expressed optimism about identifying further mineralization. The exploration efforts highlight the potential for expanding the deposit's dimensions.
