Eagle Plains Explores Gold Potential at Dragon Lake Project
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. has provided an update on its Dragon Lake gold project in Yukon, located within the Tintina Gold Province. This area is noted for its significant gold deposits. The property spans 893 hectares and features Tombstone Suite intrusive rocks with associated gold mineralization.
Historical trenching and drilling on the site have indicated promising gold grades. Notable results include trench samples showing up to 6.7 g/t gold over 4 meters and drill results yielding 2.14 g/t gold over 10.2 meters. Eagle Plains has conducted extensive exploration since acquiring the property in 1996, including geophysical surveys and diamond drilling.
The project site shows a large zone of gold, copper, and bismuth soil anomalies, extending 1.3 km by 0.35 km. Eagle Plains continues exploration to verify historical data and further assess the site's gold potential.
