Econocom Secures €240M Schuldschein to Extend Debt Maturity
Econocom Group has successfully executed a €240 million Schuldschein private placement to extend its debt maturity. Originally launched at €100 million, the transaction was significantly oversubscribed, indicating strong investor interest. This Schuldschein is divided into 3-year and 5-year tranches, primarily at floating rates, and aims to refinance 2027 and 2028 maturities ahead of schedule.
Post-transaction, Econocom refinanced its €132 million 2027 debt completely and covered 70% (€108 million) of its 2028 gap. This move reflects investor confidence in Econocom's strategic direction and financial stability.
Commerzbank and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg led the arrangement, with ABN AMRO, Crédit Agricole CIB, and Crédit Lyonnais as co-leads.
