Edison Releases Report on VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund

On December 30, 2025, Edison Investment Research released its report on the VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF). Despite recent global tariff issues, Vietnam's economy showed resilience with a 7.9% GDP growth in the first nine months of 2025. This economic strength triggered a local stock market surge from May 2025, although focused on a limited number of stocks.

The VOF, which holds one of these stocks due to valuation concerns, experienced a nominal $6.8 million write-down in its private portfolio for fiscal year 2025. Consequently, its NAV total return of 2.7% in sterling, for the year ending November 2025, was under the broader market. However, its 10-year NAV and share price returns remain closely aligned with the VN Index, at 12.8% and 13.9%, respectively.
