Eiffage, through its German subsidiary SEH Engineering, has won a significant contract to construct the new Levensau Bridge over the Kiel Canal in Germany. This project is in collaboration with BEMO Tunnelling and Metrostav DIZ, valued at €183 million, with Eiffage's share amounting to €82 million.

The current bridge, the oldest spanning the canal, requires replacement to accommodate larger ships. The new bridge will be 241 meters long, 42 meters high, and weigh 10,000 tonnes, featuring prominent steel arches manufactured in Hanover and Prague. Rail traffic is set to commence by autumn 2027, followed by road traffic.

This contract, alongside other German projects, underscores Eiffage Métal's growing influence in steel engineering within Germany, supported by the country's infrastructure renovation initiatives.
