2025 Results for Electricity and Water in Madagascar: Analysis and Trends
The Board of Directors of Electricity and Water of Madagascar approved the financial results for the 2025 financial year. These reveal a profit of €2,767K, compared to a loss of €7,226K in 2024. This improvement is mainly due to non-recurring events such as the end of a tax dispute and the statute of limitations on certain debts, generating revenue of €6,420K.
The year was also marked by a takeover bid initiated by Le Clézio Industrie. The Board of Directors issued an unfavorable opinion on this offer, believing it significantly undervalues the company. The offer, deemed unfavorable to shareholders, will have to be revised in accordance with AMF (French Financial Markets Authority) regulations.
Looking ahead, the company remains committed to defending its valuation and protecting the interests of its minority shareholders.
