The Battambang Court of Appeal upheld the rejection of Pierre Ader's application.

Electricité et Eaux de Madagascar (EEM) announces that the Court of Appeal in Battambang, Cambodia, has upheld the dismissal decision of the Siem Reap Court of First Instance. This decision concerns the claim filed by Pierre Ader against Lopan Investment Co., Ltd., a company owned by Victoria Angkor Company Limited, an EEM subsidiary. Pierre Ader, claiming to act on behalf of Victoria Angkor Estate Co., Ltd., was seeking payment of unpaid rent, the return of buildings, and damages.

Filed in August 2021, the lawsuit sought $898,744 USD, allegedly unpaid since 2004, and $1,000,000 USD in damages. EEM intervened in the case, leading to the dismissal of the claims in September 2023 by the Siem Reap court.
