Emeis Exits Safeguard Plan Early
Puteaux-based healthcare group emeis has announced an early exit from its accelerated safeguard plan as of February 20, 2026. The Nanterre Economic Court approved this exit, marking a significant step in the company's restructuring journey. This decision was facilitated by a disposal plan amounting to €2.45 billion since mid-2022, coupled with a strengthened balance sheet following €3.15 billion in new financing since December 18, 2025. This new capital enabled the refinancing of existing bank debts.
Operational efficiencies have improved since mid-2024, characterized by increased occupancy rates, enhanced operating margins, and the achievement of a positive free cash flow. The company anticipates continued growth, with an expected EBITDAR increase of 12% to 16% from 2024 to 2028. emeis's progress signifies a critical phase in normalizing its financial standing after years of restructuring.
