Empress Royalty Corp. Resumes Trading Following Strategic Acquisition
Empress Royalty Corp., headquartered in Vancouver, has announced the resumption of trading for its common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange. The halt occurred as the company disclosed a US$62M acquisition of a gold stream on the Tongon Gold Mine in Côte d'Ivoire, alongside a related US$75M debt financing. Trading is scheduled to resume on September 18, 2026.
The acquisition is through Empress's subsidiary, Empress Royalty Holding Corp., via an agreement with Appian Tongon Streamco Ltd. Additionally, a US$75M credit facility has been secured with Appian Empire Loanco Ltd., to fund the acquisition and future investments.
CEO Alexandra Woodyer Sherron highlights this investment as a significant advancement for Empress, noting its entry into West Africa. This development opens new opportunities for growth and portfolio enhancement.
