Encavis Acquires Vietlübbe Wind Farm, Expands German Portfolio

Encavis, an independent power producer based in Hamburg, Germany, has acquired the Vietlübbe onshore wind farm from the UKA Group, marking its largest wind energy acquisition in Germany. The Vietlübbe wind farm, located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, has an installed capacity of approximately 80 megawatts. This facility, operational since late 2025, is anticipated to generate around 200 gigawatt hours of electricity annually, thereby significantly contributing to climate-friendly power supply and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

With this acquisition, Encavis continues to bolster its position as a prominent operator of renewable energy sources, aiming to ensure a reliable supply of green energy across Europe. Mario Schirru, CEO of Encavis, emphasizes the company's strategy of integrating renewable generation with market access, promoting decarbonisation of industrial value chains. This strategic expansion reinforces Encavis' commitment to long-term renewable energy development and regional value creation.
