ENCAVIS AG Acquires 34 MW Wind Farm in Sundern-Allendorf
Encavis AG has acquired a wind farm project in Sundern-Allendorf, located in Germany's Sauerland region. Bought from PNE AG, this project boasts a planned capacity of 34 megawatts (MW) and is expected to be operational by the first half of 2026. This acquisition furthers Encavis' strategy of strengthening its wind energy portfolio, increasing its wind capacity in Germany by approximately 160 MW over the past ten months.
The project involves the installation of five Nordex N163 turbines, each with a 6.8 MW capacity, generating an annual electricity output of around 92 GWh. The power generated will benefit from a 20-year feed-in tariff under the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
Both companies express satisfaction with the partnership, citing shared goals in expanding renewable energy. PNE AG CEO Roland Stanze emphasized the value of the collaboration in promoting quality and expertise in wind energy development.
