Encavis Secures Significant Role in Italy’s Energy Release 2.0

Encavis GmbH, a leading Independent Power Producer based in Hamburg, has secured a major share in Italy's Energy Release 2.0 program. This initiative, launched by Italy's Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, aims to stabilize electricity prices and foster renewable energy growth. Encavis won contracts amounting to 3.7 terawatt hours, representing over 16% of the program's total allocation.

CEO Mario Schirru noted this achievement as a major milestone, highlighting the company's expanding influence in the Italian energy market. Encavis' success underscores its competitive edge and dedication to supplying clean, reliable power. The program enables energy-intensive companies to access regulated electricity prices under long-term Contracts for Difference, promoting renewable capacity development.
