Energiekontor Commissions Drensteinfurt-Rieth Wind Park

Energiekontor AG has successfully launched the Drensteinfurt-Rieth wind park, situated in Warendorf, North Rhine-Westphalia. This achievement follows the turnkey sale of the project in June 2025 to private investors. The wind park, featuring two Enercon E-160 EP5 turbines, boasts a total capacity of 11 megawatts and is expected to generate approximately 24 gigawatt hours annually. This output is sufficient to provide renewable energy to over 7,000 households while reducing CO₂ emissions by more than 18,000 tonnes per year.

In addition to this commissioning, Energiekontor has secured permits for two other wind projects in North Rhine-Westphalia, totaling about 46 megawatts. These projects will be developed jointly to maximize synergies. Energiekontor continues to manage the Drensteinfurt-Rieth park technically and commercially, leveraging its experience in operational management.
