Energiekontor, EHA, and dm Seal Long-Term Green Energy Pact

Energiekontor AG has announced a significant alliance with EHA and the drugstore chain dm. This partnership revolves around a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for the Kolitzheim-Herlheim solar park. Set for completion by early 2027 in Bavaria, the solar park aims to supply renewable electricity to dm stores, marking a shift away from fossil fuels.

This collaboration integrates the expertise of Energiekontor in solar park development, EHA's energy management, and dm's retail operations. The project intends to produce over 13 gigawatt hours annually, potentially reducing carbon emissions by 9,000 tonnes per year. The agreement facilitates electricity marketing outside government support, underscoring the economic feasibility of renewable projects in Germany without subsidies.
