Energy S.p.A. Secures €25.7 Million Contract for Electricity Storage in Austria
Energy S.p.A. has announced winning a significant €25.7 million contract to provide electricity storage systems and related services to ASFINAG, Austria's motorway network operator. The contract marks the first major collaboration of this scale between the Italian energy storage leader, Energy S.p.A., and ASFINAG. The contract also includes an additional option for ASFINAG worth approximately €3 million.
The agreement was secured as part of a temporary consortium with Königskreuz GmbH. Energy S.p.A., as the lead partner, is scheduled to supply all necessary storage systems valued around €22 million and additional services over an 18-month period starting this summer. This project is part of a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing Austria's alternative mobility network infrastructure.
