Eric Vial Appointed Chairman of Crédit Agricole S.A.
On December 16, 2025, Crédit Agricole S.A.'s Board of Directors elected Eric Vial as Chairman. He will succeed Dominique Lefebvre, assuming his role on January 1, 2026. The Board expressed gratitude for Lefebvre’s decade-long service and dedication.
Eric Vial has recently held significant roles, including Chairman of Fédération nationale du Crédit Agricole and SAS Rue La Boétie since early December 2025. His involvement with Crédit Agricole dates back to 2018 when he became Chairman of Crédit Agricole des Savoie. Vial has been part of the FNCA’s Bureau since 2022 and served as Deputy Chairman since 2024.
Beyond Crédit Agricole, Vial is also a director at Crédit Agricole Indosuez Wealth Management and Chairman of CFM Indosuez Wealth Management. His career has been deeply rooted in the cooperative sector and regional economics.
