EuropaCorp Announces 2024-2025 Annual Results
EuropaCorp, a leading independent European film studio, reported a 26% rise in international sales, largely due to Luc Besson's "Dracula" presales. Despite this, overall revenue fell 11% to €32 million, as catalog sales declined, impacting the high-margin areas significantly.
Operating margin decreased to €4 million from €12 million the prior year, a reduction driven by increased amortization costs. Overhead costs were cut by 25% to €8 million, demonstrating significant operational efficiency.
The company maintained a solid net operating cash flow at €21 million, allowing it to fund investments and uphold its financial obligations. Although the net income saw a downturn to €(4.9) million from last year's €0.9 million profit, cash flow from operations improved slightly, indicating resilience amid challenges.
Looking forward, "Dracula" is set for a July 2025 release, sparking optimism for future revenue boosts.
