Exail Achieves First DriX O-16 Sale in Asia-Pacific
Exail has announced the first commercial success of its DriX O-16 "Ocean," the largest drone in its lineup, measuring 16 meters. Launched in 2024, this transoceanic autonomous vessel boasts increased autonomy. In late December, a client in the Asia-Pacific region selected the DriX O-16 for hydrography capabilities. Additionally, two clients ordered the smaller DriX H-8 model, operational globally for hydrography applications.
These new orders amount to €15 million, marking a positive end to 2024 for Exail. The DriX O-16 is tailored for missions up to 30 days, covering 3,500 nautical miles. It features advanced AI-powered navigation and benefits from Exail's 40 years of expertise.
The initial client, a civil sector leader, plans to use the drone for hydrography in varied water depths. The DriX's sensors, including low-frequency sonar, enable seabed mapping up to 11,000 meters. The DriX H-8 will serve civil and energy applications in France and Poland, respectively.
